Her commitment to making a positive impact on the lives of others is evident in her academic achievements and her diverse professional background.

Colleen's journey began at Bradley University, where she earned a Bachelor's in Social Work and a Minor in Psychology. During her undergraduate years, Colleen completed a transformative internship at the Salvation Army, where she imparted valuable job-based skills to the homeless population, including resume building and interview techniques.

Driven by her passion for education and empowerment, Colleen furthered her studies and obtained a Master's in Special Education from Lewis University in Romeoville, IL.

Over the course of 15 years, she served as a dedicated teacher within the school system.  During this tenure, Colleen fostered an environment that nurtured independent learning, collaborated on issues related to IEPs and 504s, and employed a strength-based approach to support her students.

Colleen's commitment to holistic well-being led her to an internship at Carle Health Methodist Hospital on the Adult Behavioral Health Unit. Here, she facilitated psychotherapy groups

and applied person-centered and solution-focused therapy to assist patients.

Colleen collaborated seamlessly with nursing staff, discharge coordination, and medical professionals to guide patients towards their journey to

self-improvement. Her dedication and competence during the internship resulted in her being hired as a full-time employee.

Colleen values the therapeutic process, emphasizing the importance of building a strong rapport with her clients. Creating a judgment-free zone, she provides a safe space for clients to explore their challenges and aspirations. Colleen believes in collaborative work and invites clients to join her on the path of life, working together to discover their true purpose and become the best version of themselves.
